The patient came to the clinic 11-May-2006 with agonizing neck pain
and right upper limb shooting pain for 3 weeks. The last week
exacerbation with numbness of the entire right hand.
examination, she had pain and limitation of neck movement when
looking down, up and to the right. She had weak grip, extension
right hand and weak left triceps muscle. She had anaesthesia of the
middle finger right hand.
The patient was sent for MRI and she came 4 hours with the
MRI showing huge extrusion of C5-6 disc to the right . The patient
was advised to undergo surgery.
Discectomy C5-6 was performed and removal of the extrusion, which
was migrating to the foramen was removed in one piece.
Dramatic postoperative recovery and the patient was discharged
the next day.
