The patient was operated 10 years ago for PLD L4-5 with left sciatica by me. She started to complain of right sciatica for 2 months, for what MRI was performed and showed recurrence of the disc at the same level, but in the other side with elements of LCS. Conservative measures failed to improve her condition and the drop right foot persisted with hypalgesia of right L5 and S1 territories. The patient underwent surgery. This case must be considered theoretically speaking, not a recurrence, but as be de novo disc at the same level, in the other side, having no relation to the previous surgery as noted in this video record.
