The patient suffering of LBP
for 25 years. 10 days ago before coming to the clinic 13-August-2005
got exacerbation of LBP with right sciatica, not reaching below
knee. MRI performed 11-Aigist-2005 showing extruded disc L3-4 with
right downward migration. He had also first degree spondylolithesis
L4-5 and old shrunken calcified disc L5-S1. On examination SLRS was
40 degrees in the right with weak dorsiflexion right foot and
weak both quadriceps femores muscles. Considering that the acute
event of his problem, he was operated and foraminotomy of the right
L4 root was performed and the extruded disc was removed subaxillary.
Post operative course was uneventful and the power normalized and
the shooting sciatica disappeared.
