The patient after suffering
cut wound to the left wrist 3 years ago with cut median
nerve at the retinaculum flexorum, continued to suffer of
dyseasthesia of the hand and hypotrophy of the thenar muscle. ECS
done demonstrating slowing of conductivity, for what, he was
operated. Neurolysis of the median nerve and the motor branch was
performed . Before neurolysis the thenar was not responding to the
stimulation, but after neurolysis the thenar and other small muscles
became more active in response to stimulation.
