CAUSALGIA LEFT LEG.
Anamnesis
The patient came to the clinic 10-July-2003
complaining of burning sensation of the left
lower limb for 8 months. He was operated by me
previously twice for lumbar disc surgery.
On examination, the patient has no neurological
deficit, except for the burning sensation of the
entire left lower limb.
The patient was sent for investigation and MRI
of the lumbar spine ruled out recurrence at the
previous surgeries.
In left kidney position, the
iliopsoas muscle exposed and the sympathetic
chain identified in the groove. Resection of
left L2 and L3 sympathetic nodes with their rami
gresium and albicans were removed. Routine closure of the wound.
Smooth postoperative recovery.
The patient telling that the causalgia subsided
in the left leg.
He was sent to the ward.
FOLLOW UP
The patient
came 25-July- 2003 with clean wound telling
the leg is warmer than the right and the causalgia
subsided.
Comments
Sympathectomy can resolve sympathetically
mediated pain. It has its role in spine surgery.
Skyra MRI with all clinical applications in the run since 28-Novemeber-2013.

its sensor gives feed back about the localization.
