HUGE EXTRUDED DISC C6-7 WITH LEFT FORAMINAL OCCLUSION.
Anamnesis
The patient came to the clinic 31-May-2021
complaining of neck pain for 15 days with left
upper limb pain. The patient is known diabetic
with arterial hypertension in treatment. She is
receiving anticoagulants.
On examination, the patient has neck pain when
turning the head to all directions, more to the
left and up. There is weak grip and extension
left hand 4/5 and left triceps muscle 4/5. There
is hypalgesia left left ulnar distribution.
The patient was sent for investigation and MRI
of the cervical spine showed huge extruded disc C6-7
with left foraminal compression. She was sent
for cardio consultation.
Anterior approach. The C-arm was used to verify
the C6-7 level. Discectomy of C6-7 with
removal of the extrusion inside the canal until the dura was seen. Using
IOS 13x12x6 mm cage self-locking with INNOS
material was inserted. Check by C-arm. The
position is acceptable. Routine closure of the wound.
Smooth postoperative recovery.
The power of the left upper limb normalized. She was sent to the ward.

The patient was diagnosed, admitted by Dr. Ali
Al-Bayyati and will be followed by him.
