HUGE EXTRUDED DISC C6-7 WITH LEFT UP AND DOWNWARD MIGRATION.
Anamnesis
The patient a Saudi citizen came to the clinic
30-October-2022 with history of neck pain and
left upper limb pain for 10 days with numbness
left hand.
On examination, the patient is in agonizing
pain, exaggerated when turning the head up, down
and to the right. There is hypalgesia of the
left median nerve territory with weak grip and
extension left hand 4/5. Weak left triceps
muscle 3/5.
The patient was sent for investigations and MRI
done the same day showing huge extruded
disc C6-7 with left up and downward migration.
Using the C-arm. the C6-7 level was identified
and discectomy of C6-7 was performed and the
extrusion was removed, until the dura was seen
at the entire bottom of the removed disc cavity.
EOS
OSImplant 6x13x15 mm dimensions was applied.
Routine closure of the wound. Smooth
postoperative recovery. The power of the right upper
limb improved. She was sent to the ward.
