The recurrence rate in cervical extrusion
is zero.
Anamnesis
The patient came to the clinic
25-May-2003 complaining of neck pain for 10
years. Exacerbation the last year with left
upper limb pain with numbness of the III and IV
fingers left hand. The patient is diabetic for
15 years and hypertensive for 10 years. MRI
cervical spine done 06-January-2002 showing
extruded disc C6-7.
On examination: the patient has neck pain when
rotating the head to all direction. Weak grip
and extension left hand and left triceps muscle
4/5.
The patient was sent for investigations: MRI
done 01-June-2003 showing extruded disc C6-7 with
left foraminal occlusion.
Through anterior approach, the
disc level was identified using the C-arm and
discectomy with osteophytectomy C6-7 was performed
until the dura was seen lax at the depth of the
removed disc. Routine closure of
the wound
Smooth postoperative recovery.
She was sent to the ward.
Follow Up
The patient came to the clinic 21-June-2003 with
clean wound and full power of the left upper
limb,
Skyra MRI with all clinical applications in the run since 28-Novemeber-2013.
Inomed Riechert-Mundinger System, with three point
fixation is the most accurate system in the market. The microdrive and
its sensor gives feed back about the localization.
