LUMBAR CANAL STENOSIS L4-5.
Anamnesis
The
patient came to the clinic 30-March-2011
complaining of LBP with numbness both legs more
the left for 3 months. He could walk 1 Km
but he had tendency to fall down.
The
patient performed MRI lumbar spine 07-February-2011
showing severe lumbar canal stenosis L4-5.
On
examination: the patient had weak dorsiflexion
both feet 4/5.
Decompressive laminectomy L4 and partial of L5 was
done. Bilateral foraminotomy both L5 roots. All
the compressive elements were eliminated. There
was no epidural fat in the area.
Routine
closure of the wound. Smooth postoperative
recovery with improvement of the power of both
feet.

Comments
Lumbar canal stenosis is a progressive disease
and the patient was falling due to weak both
feet and sensory disturbances making him unable
to walk properly.
