EXTRUDED DISC C6-7 MORE TO THE RIGHT.
Anamnesis
The patient came to the clinic
26-July-2002 complaining of agonizing neck,
right shoulder anterior right chest and
posterior right scapular pain for 3 months. MRI
cervical spine performed 26-July-2002 showing
huge extruded disc C6-7 with right foraminal
occlusion.
On examination: The patient has neck pain when
rotating the head to all directions. There is
weak grip, extension right hand 3/5 and the
right triceps muscle 3/5. There is hypalgesia
right ulnar distribution.
Through anterior approach, using the C-arm the level of C6-7 identified
and discectomy with osteophytectomy was
performed until the dura was seen at the bottom
of the created disc space. The extruded pieces
to the right foramen were removed. The dura was
relax. Routine
closure of the wound.
Smooth postoperative recovery.
The power of the right upper limb normalized.
He was sent to the ward.
Follow Up
The patient came to the clinic 06-August-2002
with clean wound and full power of the upper
limb and no radicular pain, nor hypalgesia.
