The patient came to the clinic 01-April-2006 complaining of left  upper limb pain with numbness, more in the night  for 45 days with  neck pain. On examination, the patient is left handed with weal grip, extension left hand and left triceps muscle with hypalgesia of the ulnar side for the entire left upper limb, including the left D1 and 2 dermatomes with hypalgesia of the left foot.

MRI cervical spine performed 05-April-2006 showing huge PCD C5-6 with left sided extrusion. The patient was operated and discectomy C5-6 was performed anteriorly. The dura was seen and followed to the left and the extrusion was removed in several pieces until the dura became relax and inspection at the foramen was negative for presence of remnants. Routine closure.

Prompt postoperative recovery of the power of the left upper limb in the recovery room.
