The resection in this case is radical and the prognosis is excellent.

The patient was admitted to Al-Hayat hospital 23-July-2002 with status epilepticus and was put in ventilator.  and history of headache for several months and blurred vision with mild right sided weakness.

On examination: The patient was unable to walk, bedridden with fainting and nausea. There is mild right sided hemiparesis.

The patient CT-scan performed at the hospital showing huge mass in the left frontal area. MRI brain with contrast performed 24-July-2002 showed huge meningioma left frontal lobe with wide matrix and involvement of the SSS anterior third.

Osteoplastic craniotomy over the left frontal region with exposure of the anterior third of the SSS and the flap was reflected to the left ear. The dura was opened circumferential to the wide matrix of the meningioma.  The meningioma boundaries were followed, and the mass was coagulated and bridging feeders were coagulated and bisected. The tumor was invading the left side of the anterior third of the SSS. It was removed and the sinus defect was sutured. Lyodura was used to close the dural defect after removal of the wide dural matrix. Routine closure of the wound.

Smooth postoperative recovery. The patient start to walk the next day. She was neurologically free.

The patient came to the clinic 12-August-2002 with clean wound and neurologically free.

The patient then came 03-November-2002  with new MRI performed 15-October-2002 showing radical resection of the tumor and she was convulsion free.

The patient then came 26-January-2004 with LBP and signs of PLD L4-5 right side. She was sent for lumbar investigations and given medications but she disappeared.
