The patient for more than 20 years
complaining of LBP. The last 40 days he started to complain of right
sciatica with agonizing pain and on examination he had almost drop
right foot. The patient MRI showed small extrusion of the L4-5 disc
with lateral recess syndrome. The patient was advised for
conservative treatment, but he told me that all conservative
measures failed to improve his condition, for what he was operated.
Right L4-5 hemiflavotomy with
right L5 foraminotomy was performed. It was noticeable that the root
was severely compressed. Removal of the extrusion and moderate
cleaning of the disc space was performed.
