The patient was operated
22-September-2004 for huge PLD L4-5 with left downward migration and meticulous
cleaning of the disc material was performed at that time. The
patient was OK. The last two weeks after travelling and physical
effort got left sided sciatica with weak dorsiflexion left foot. MRI
done showing recurrence of the disc at the same level. The L5-S1
disc is degenerative without extrusion. The patient was operated and
the left upper most corner of the bony alignments were drilled and
the left L5 root identified and the extrusion was removed. The
patient was discharged the next operative day with no sciatica and
with normal power of the left foot.
