YEARS BURST FRACTURE L4 WITH BONY COMPRESSION.
Anamnesis
The patient suffered RTA 20-November-2004,
admitted to Shmaisani hospital 30-November-2004
with burst fracture L4.
On examination: The patient is in bed, but drop
right foot with right sciatica and no urinary or
defecation problems.
Skeletonization of L4 and L5 down
to the lateral processes. Transpedicular screw
distraction, reduction with fusion of L4-5 was
achieved. Routine
closure of the wound.
Smooth postoperative recovery.
The drop left foot still the same.
He was sent to the ward.
Comments
With time delay reduction of the bony
alignment, become more difficult, but with transpedicular
reduction and traction with fusion it usually reduce.
