The patient was admitted to Istiklal Hospital to
a maxillofacial surgeon and I was invited to
perform the skull base part of the surgery.
Looking to data of CT-scan and MRI performed
before surgery, removal of the maxillary part,
intrasphenoid part was achieved and the inferior
wall of the right orbit was drilled out of the
tumor. The retromaxillary space was explored and
the part of the tumor was removed. The pterion
was reached from inferior and drilling until the
middle fossa was thinned without violating the
intracranial space, reaching the lesser wing and
right anterior clinoid. All the seen
pathological masses seen in the MRI were
removed.
I left the team who performed
closure of the wound.
