The patient after suffering
cut wound to the left wrist got ulnar nerve paralysis 7 months
ago. He was operated at that time and no evidence of recovery was
mentioned during this period and ECS performed 7 days ago confirmed
complete denervation of the nerve with painful neuroma upon
examination. The patient was operated and the neuroma was located at
the emergence point of the dorsal sensory branch. Intraoperative
recordings ruled out the presence of conductivity with 5-1 mA. The
neuroma was resected and fibers were not seen inside it. Anastamosis
of the main nerve and the dorsal sensory branch was achieved.
