YEARS PRELIMINARY SOFT TISSUE SARCOMA.
Anamnesis
The patient came to the clinic 11-September-2004
telling that he suffered RTA 10-October-2003
with loss of consciousness and lacerated wounds
and grafting of the scalp was performed. There
is a mass in the posterior aspect of the neck
for 3 month progressing in size. MRI done
09-August-2004 showing as CSF pocket arising
from the C1-2 spaces. The flaps are acceptable.
The patient was neurologically free.
Longitudinal incision and the
tumor was totally resected with soft safe
margins. The histologic result was low grade
fibrosarcoma. Strict hemostasis, routine closure
of the wound.
He was
sent to the ward.
FOLLOW UP
The patient came to the clinic 04-October-2004
with clean wound and he was advised to undergo
radiotherapy. After that the perform check MRI
after 2 months, but he did not return.
Comments
Fibrosarcoma prone to local recurrence.
Metastasis is unlikely. Follow up is
recommended.
