Anamnesis
The patient came to the clinic 16-June-2005
complain of neck pain with limitation of of
movement to all directions. Both upper limbs pain, more the right with
numbness both hands. Exacerbation last month.
MRI cervical spine performed 09-May-2005 showing
huge extruded disc C5-6 and bulge C4-5.
On examination: The patient is in agonizing pain
when moving the head to all directions. The
grip, extension both hands weak 4/5. There is
hypalgesia both hands, more the right.
Through anterior approach,
discectomy C5-6 with meticulous cleaning until the
dura was seen at the depth of the field.
Decompression of C4-5 was achieved. Routine
closure of the wound.
Smooth postoperative recovery.
The power of both upper limbs improved. He was sent to the ward.
Follow Up
The patient came to the clinic 03-July-2005 with
clean wound and neurologically free.
