YEARS EXTRUDED DISC C6-7 LEFT SIDE.
Anamnesis
The patient came to the clinic 12-June-2002
complaining of neck pain for 1 month with left
shoulder pain. MRI cervical
spine performed 06-June-2002 showing huge
extruded disc C6-7 with left foraminal
occlusion. The patient has hepatitis-C.
On examination: The patient has neck pain when
rotating the head to both directions and up.
There is weak grip, extensors left hand and left
triceps muscle with hypalgesia II, III fingers
left hand.
Through anterior approach, the level of C6-7 was
identified with C-arm. Discectomy of C6-7 with
removal of the extrusion, until the dura was
seen at the depth of the removed disc cavity. Routine
closure of the wound.
Smooth postoperative recovery.
The power of the left upper limb normalized.
He was sent to the ward.
Follow Up
The patient came to the clinic 24-June-2002
with clean wound and normal
power left upper limb with occasional numbness
of the same fingers with lesser degree.
