Comments
Harrington instrumentation is inserted
temporarily to provide reduction and stability to the spine
until the fracture heals. It is preferable to remove the
construct after 8 months.
Anamnesis
The patient came to the clinic
16-May-2003 complaining telling that her
condition is acceptable and want to remove the
Harrington instrumentation inserted for unstable
fracture of L1
08-September-2001.
On examination: the patient is neurologically
free and want to remove the instrumentation to
regain elasticity to her spine.
The old incision refreshed and
the construct with the sublaminar wires were exposed
and the whole system with the sublaminar wires were
removed. Routine closure of
the wound
Smooth postoperative recovery.
She was sent to the ward.
Follow Up
The patient came to the clinic 10-June-2003 with
clean wound.
Skyra MRI with all clinical applications in the run since 28-Novemeber-2013.
Inomed Riechert-Mundinger System, with three point
