YEARS EXTRUDED DISC C6-7 RIGHT SIDE.
Anamnesis
The patient a Saudi citizen came to the clinic 22-June-2002
complaining of neck pain for 3 months with right
shoulder pain and numbness II and III finger
right hand. MRI cervical
spine performed 18-June-2002 showing extruded disc C6-7 with
right foraminal occlusion. The patient has mild
kernicterus, which could be Gilbert's disease.
On examination: The patient has neck pain when
rotating the head to all directions.
There is weak grip, extensors right hand and
right
triceps muscle.
Through anterior approach, the level of C6-7 was
identified with C-arm. Discectomy of C6-7 with
removal of the extrusion, until the dura was
seen at the depth of the removed disc cavity. Routine
closure of the wound.
Smooth postoperative recovery.
The power of the right upper limb normalized.
She was sent to the ward.
Follow Up
The patient came to the clinic 23-June-2002
with clean wound and normal
power right upper limb.
The patient then came 26-March-2003 with partial
frozen right shoulder with weak right deltoid.
Conservative treatment and sent to orthopedic
consultation for shoulder problems.
Skyra MRI with all clinical applications in the run since 28-Novemeber-2013.
