The patient was operated
03-October-2005 for tethered cord , after what the 5th postoperative
day progressed CSF leak from the wound. Several conservative
measures failed to stop the leak. Considering that, he is living in
another country, it was decided to explore the wound and after the
inspection, it became evident that the leak was coming not from the
dural opening, where stitching was performed, but from the upper
most left point, where stay-stitch was applied during the first
operation. This point was stitched and another 2 suspected points
also stitched and the area was covered by muscle and sealed with
glue. Water-tight closure of all layers.
