FRACTURE D12.
Anamnesis
The patient came to the clinic 21-December-2002
telling that she want to remove the Harrington
rods inserted
19-April-2002 for burst fracture D12.
On examination: the patient
is neurologically free..
The Harrington rods were
exposed and the sublaminar wires removed and the
whole construct was removed. Routine closure of
the wound. Smooth postoperative recovery.
FOLLOW UP
The patient
came to the clinic 10-January-2003 with clean wound
with no motor, nor sensory deficit.
Comments
The Harrington rods are
intended to inset temporary for 8-12 months.
After that removal is preferable.

its sensor gives feed back about the localization.
